My mom and I popped in here while on a trip for my birthday. The owner blew us away. He spent over two hours telling us about his carpets: the from the process of extracting silk and dying the various types of fibers, to the intricate and painstaking process of hand knotting the carpets, some of which take over 1000 knots per square inch. There are many pieces that belong in museums, and I was deeply grateful for the experience of being able to see and touch them, and to have them shown to us by someone who has dedicated his life to bringing us this timeless art. My mom is a textile designer who lives for handmade textiles, and it was by far the highlight of our trip for her, despite being here for the huge international Indigenous Art festival! Thank you, Mohamed Sassila, for such a wonderful experience, and for patiently sharing your vast knowledge with us!

They have a superb collection of antique rugs and furniture. We stopped in while visiting Santa Fe and it was one of our best finds of the trip. The staff were great and answered any questions we had.

We wandered into this amazing store and met the owner, Mohammed. He was so generous with his time and was so kind. We ended up buying a beautiful bag and two wall hangings. He educated us and we felt like this was one of our favorite experiences so far on our Santa Fe trip! Thank you so much to Mohammed! Highly recommend.

I wandered into this place while on vacation in Santa Fe. Initially, I just wanted to see all of the beautiful rugs they had on display and get out of the cold for a moment. Aladeen welcomed me warmly. He not only let me browse freely, but also explained the weaving and coloring methods each type of rug used and showed me so many beautiful pieces as examples of the craft. I felt like I was in a museum! I started picturing some of the rugs in my home. They have many price points to choose from so it can be more affordable than you might think! Uh oh… ;) Once he said they offer free shipping, I was sold. I bought a beautiful Turkish rug and it arrived yesterday. Now, I can remember that great experience I had on vacation each time I see it. Wonderful!

I purchased two rugs from this shop and couldn’t be happier with them. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the patterns and dyes. It was a great experience.
